In what ways does your media product, use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

My media product (Thriller opening) uses multiple conventions inspired from many films. A prominent one being The Thrid Man in which portrayed the thriller aspect in a more darker tone

Conventions used:
Film noir: our entire thriller opening is almost grayscale which was inspired from noir films, as the greyness of them makes everything seem bleak and dull
Enclosed areas: Using the underpass as a set, everything took place in a small enclosed area which gave it claustrophobic effects, this was also inspired from The Third Man as the majority of the time you can't see what ahead and behind of you..

One such film is The third man in which inspired this shot from my thriller in which portrays a rather bleak and weird city, it was used in the same way as in TTM where its used to create disorientation which is what i aimed for in this scene in the thriller.
I changed the scene up a bit by trying to capture the light from the back as a main focal point just like the back of the TTM scene.
